For one of our ongoing multiyear project, we are looking for part time Electrical Engineer who can work remotely from India

We are seeking a Contract Electrical Engineer with 3–5 years of experience, based in India, to support a focused engineering project on a part-time basis. This role involves delivering preliminary electrical design work, assisting with system-level documentation, reviewing supplier specifications, and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams. Key Responsibilities:- Preliminary Electrical Design

• Develop and update system-level single-line diagrams (SLDs).
• Contribute to high-level design concepts for electrical distribution systems.
• Assist with AC/DC wiring diagrams, schematics, and panel layout concepts.

2. Power System Engineering

• Support load analysis, conductor sizing, grounding, and protective device selection.
• Perform general electrical calculations and engineering checks.
• Ensure preliminary designs align with safety, code, and performance requirements.

3. Integration & Cross-Functional Support

• Coordinate with mechanical, controls, and systems engineers.
• Assist in aligning electrical interfaces with HVAC, controls, sensors, and auxiliary systems.
• Review supplier datasheets, specifications, and technical documentation.

4. Supplier & Documentation Support

• Participate in virtual discussions with vendors and engineering partners as needed.
• Provide engineering input for technical reports, design documents, and bill of materials (BOMs).
• Support the development of design notes, compliance summaries, and project documentation.

5. Project Collaboration

• Attend weekly coordination meetings with the U.S.-based technical team.
• Deliver weekly progress updates and meet structured task deadlines.
• Work independently and manage priorities effectively within a part-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in electrical design or power engineering.
• Proficient in preparing SLDs, wiring diagrams, and basic electrical layouts.
• Hands-on experience with electrical CAD tools (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, SolidWorks Electrical, etc.).
• Strong understanding of power fundamentals (AC/DC systems, grounding, distribution).
• Working familiarity with relevant standards (NEC, IEC, IS codes, and general electrical safety practices).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a remote, cross-border team environment.

Preferred

• Experience in industrial, infrastructure, or renewable/power-system projects.
• Exposure to electrical control panels, power conversion systems, or modular systems.
• Experience collaborating with international teams and suppliers.
• Self-driven, proactive, and comfortable working independently
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
• Ability to manage part-time workload with high accountability
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Approx. 20 hours/week
• Fully remote, based in India
• Flexible working hours (must attend scheduled check-ins aligned with U.S. time zones)
