Description
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager, with Web Site Migration experience to lead the agency’s Web Modernization Initiative. This initiative is a collection of four distinct, but related efforts to stream-line content updates, along with giving the agency a modern web look and feel for both internal and external sites. The four projects that comprise this effort are listed below.
Responsibilities:
For this effort the agency will engage with a state vendor who will supply the SharePoint infrastructure, content management platform and general guidance for migration. The infrastructure will be hosted at the state data center, this will not be a SharePoint Online instance but an on-premises instance. The project manager will be asked to coordinate several content owners on the business side to migrate their content from a Classic ASP/Static HTML implementation to the new SharePoint content management system. The site has roughly 22,000 resources to be inventoried (PDF, images, HTML, scripts), analyzed and either migrated, deleted or archived.
Must Have:
Excellent organization, analytical, and communication skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience communicating effectively across a wide variety of stakeholders.
Experience independently facilitating meetings.
Agile Project Management using Jira.
Agile Release Planning.
Capable of managing a project or subset of a project with up to ten (10) staff.
Change Control management.
Experience in project planning.
Extensive knowledge in project management principles, standards, processes, and techniques. Disciplined in control mechanisms for issue, risk, and scope change management.
Knowledge of PMI framework and methodologies.
Project Manager capabilities. Capable of managing a project with up to ten (10) or more staff and/or a project with multiple sub-projects.
Experience as a scrum master leading a product development team that uses the scrum methodology for agile software development.
Strong project management skills.
Demonstrated knowledge of content management systems analysis.
Develop specific test plans and perform acceptance testing to ensure that systems will function correctly.
Develop test plan/procedures and training documentation.
Develop user acceptance test criteria and conduct user acceptance testing.
Interpret test results.
Demonstrated expertise in implementation of Content Management Systems (CMS) sites using SharePoint Web Content Management at an enterprise level.
