Description

CapB is looking for an MS SQL Database and Support Specialist to join our IT department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting our MS SQL databases, performing T-SQL programming, triaging technical issues, and handling customer support requests related to a legacy .NET application. This role requires a deep understanding of MS SQL Server, proficiency in T-SQL, and excellent problem-solving skills to ensure high levels of performance and user satisfaction. This is a part time role, with 20 hrs per week and may require a day in office at Denver , each week for around 4 hrs. ( managers discretion, can be 100% remote)

  • Issue Triage and Technical Support: Act as the first point of contact for identifying and troubleshooting database-related issues. Prioritize and resolve issues in a timely manner, ensuring minimal impact on operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Customer and Internal Support: Respond to customer inquiries and support tickets with technical guidance and solutions. Work closely with the agency to understand requirements and deliver support needed for database and application functionalities.
  • T-SQL Development: Develop and optimize T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers for data manipulation and to support application needs.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain clear documentation for database setups, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Proven experience in MS SQL Server database administration and T-SQL programming.
  • Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
  • Ability to effectively triage and resolve complex database issues.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to provide technical support and guidance to customers and team members.
  • Familiarity with .NET framework and its integration with MS SQL Server
  • Experience with case management systems
